I updated yesterday to Yosemite and puttered around in Office2011 Mac Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It wasn't a deep tryout though PP worked perfect. Word & Excel I have been having issues with for over a year now when an update moved some files they put in system around and, didn't delete the old locations and I can't figure out what to remove. They both work but are slow to open and excel doesn't open to a Blank spreadsheet as it should. So both those products. Work as good as they did before the Yosemite upgrade.
So I would say you should have no problems. Some people using the beta versions of Yosemite were having issues. But Alpha and Beta software will always have issues, & the beta testers that signed up, should have posted the least little issue as soon as cropped up.
But I am sure there will be minor updates either to Yosemite, or Office to address any issues that pop up. I wish MS would get around to converting Office to using Apple code so that many issues as multiple pdf creation in word, and ability to use any language even Right to left would be cleared up instead of using patched binary code that's been around since the late 90's that is wrapped in a XML shell.
